Very Rare Find, Here for your consideration is a PAIR of Original Large Welsbach Gas Street Lamps - Cast Iron Frame
These have the Original Authentic Gas Burners
Clear glass globe with white glass tops.
Aluminum exhaust at the top.
Approximately 42" tall by 15" at the widest.
The cast iron frame is hinged for easy access to light.
The lamps appear to have never been installed. There are a few leaves on each lamp that have been repaired and repainted. Possibly the damage was done in storage or shipment.
Installs on 3" pole.
Stamped in the cast iron is: "Patented Oct 31, 1899"
These lamps in combination with burners having Welsbach gas mantles was considered the ultimate in gas street lighting during the Victorian and post-Victorian eras.
Would be a fabulous edition to your grand entrance or garden.
